The new library will be a part of the old IAR building but albiet with a face-lift. ALthough, a part of the old building, the new library will stand out as an addition. It has been designed keeping in mind climate and light conditions considering the function of the space. A concrete Jali cuts out harsh sun, bringing in filtered light in the library, making it comfortable and inwards looking study spaces for sitting longer hours.
