The house is located in the outskirts of the city of Vadodara in the midst of the lush green surrounings and plot area of 10,000 sq.ft.
The client’s requirements for the same were to have four bedrooms with large dressing areas, a formal living room and an informal family gathering room along with a dining area and kitchen that could house upto 20 people at a time in case of family gatherings.
The stand taken by us as Architects for this house was to have the built requirements only in half of the plot hereas to have the rest of the plot open which could be used as a party lawn.
The private and public area of the house are divided by a waterbody in the courtyard which brings in light and at the same time, cooling the surroundings in the harsh summer seasons.
The materials used are concrete, glass and wood for the architecture as well as the interiors. The key for designing this house was not only to design the interior spaces but also designing the built in such a way that the unbulit spaces became equally well thought of.
